ABOUT
Alexine Banét (pronounced bah-nay) Pack is a Brooklyn-based ceramicist and visual artist exploring form, material, and delight through functional and sculptural works. Her practice centers on creating easter eggs for the home, objects that invite discovery and quiet amusement within the rituals of daily life.
Working primarily in clay, Pack’s process involves sketching and prototyping before hand-building each piece using slab and coil techniques. Her work plays at the intersection of structure and softness, balancing precision with traces of touch and time. The resulting pieces carry a sense of familiarity and surprise, objects that feel both considered and a little bit alive.
Guided by natural forms and nostalgic motifs, Pack’s ceramics celebrate playfulness within restraint. Her work reflects a deep appreciation for patience, process, and imperfection, serving as a reminder that beauty often reveals itself in the details we almost overlook.
